Thanks for navigating us through the sale of my mother’s house at Victoria Beach. I’m sure all sales are different but this one I expect had some special challenges. My mother’s house had both extremely positive features (it’s location for example), and some distinctly negative ones (it’s unimproved condition for example). You managed to put the best foot forward and get the best value for this very desirable but also somewhat “needy” property.

And of course dealing in an estate situation with 3 sibling heirs can present challenges as well. You supplied the on-going communication and explanations needed to keep everyone informed and the whole process transparent.

I knew we had the ‘right’ agent when the water supply pipe to the water heater sprung a leak very soon after we listed the house with you. You had a plumber down at the house and the leak was fixed literally within hours. You kept up that kind of responsiveness throughout the listing.

My husband and I used Sandee for both buying and selling a property. We first met Sandee at an open house in Laguna Beach. At that time, we were at least a year away from purchasing a home. In March of 2018 upon the death of my father I became executor of my Dad's Estate. His estate consisted of some financial assets and a very nice home on Victoria Drive. Given that there were four beneficiaries of my father estate, there were different needs for each of them. Given the difference in each child's opinion of the value of the home from a financial perspective and an emotional perspective, making consensus decisions was a challenge. Ultimately the decision was made to sell the house.

Although I was the Trustee and the executor of the Estate, the realtor needed to manage input from all family members. This was going to be a challenge given strong opinions and personalities. Additionally the home needed significant attention. The house had the contents of a 60 year marriage most of which had significant emotional value and very little financial value. The house needed to be cleared out and prepped for sale. This was a monumental task given the dysfunction of the various family participants. A third party manager of the project was clearly the best way to deal with the sale.

She managed the various family participants like a skilled psychologist. She rolled up her sleeves assisting with packing, sorting, and disposal of the homes contents. She managed the trades people to repair, paint, and stage the home. The house looked better than ever.

She assisted in the establishment of a reasonable listing price and expectation of an acceptable sales price. The listing number and her marketing efforts were effective and our ultimate sale price was more than what we expected.

Sandee was a true professional willing to take on any task. She earned her money many times over. I knew this was going to be a very challenging process given our current families challenges and typical family dysfunction. We were very fortunate to have selected Sandee Spencer to represent the sale of the home. She was always there for us on a professional level, emotional level, and a work horse level.
